Meet the Doctors

Proudly Serving the Community for Over 10 Years

Dr. Royce, Dr. Wagner, and the entire team at Modern Dental are pleased to be able to offer beautiful smiles to their neighbors in Boise and the surrounding communities.

Travis Royce, DDS

Dr. Royce grew up in the Treasure Valley, graduating from Valley View High School before obtaining his undergraduate degree at Eastern Oregon University and his dental degree at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. He is committed to continuing education and has experience and education in orthodontic treatments, dental implants, and root canals. His most recent training in conscious IV sedation allows him to offer more treatment in complete comfort, all right here in our office.

Dr. Royce lives by the mantra “attention to detail.” He will always put his patients’ needs first and foremost. When not in the office, he loves spending time with his beautiful wife Paloma and their seven children as well as attending their lacrosse and soccer games, skiing, and snowboarding. He is an avid fly fisherman and enjoys hunting and camping.

Ted Wagner, DMD

When Dr. Wagner was eight, a combination of unlimited candy (thanks to his paper route) and an apparent unwillingness to “wiggle” his tooth led to the need for an extraction. He thought it was cool that he could actually hear the tooth coming out of his mouth but couldn’t feel anything! His fascination with the process blossomed into a career dedicated to helping patients with their own dental needs.

Dr. Wagner received his undergraduate degree at Brigham Young University and his dental degree at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. Since then, he’s made it his life’s work to help patients with dental pain or dental health problems. Advanced training in cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, and a few other specialized areas has given Dr. Wagner and our practice the tools we need to help provide better care for our patients, resulting in healthy smiles they are proud to share with everyone.

Dr. Wagner, his wife Leslie, and their four incredible children love living in the Treasure Valley. They like to spend their time outside, whether that’s hiking in the foothills, rafting on the Boise River, or skiing at Bogus Basin. You’ll find them on bikes a lot, especially as he’s grown quite fond of competitive cycling.
